DOS — Dealer Operating System Just released

A class fills a room once.
A club brings them back.

Turn your quilt circle or your embroidery regulars into a paid club. Members join and pay on your own website, every month or once a year, and the money goes into your own Stripe account. DOS keeps the list of who belongs, so nobody at your counter has to guess.

Memberships — a new club
A new club called Quilt Circle being set up: a description, two benefits written one per line, Renews automatically chosen, and a monthly price.

Name it, list the perks, choose monthly, yearly or a fixed end date, and set the price.

How dealers use it

  1. Make the club

Give it a name, a description and its perks, one per line. Choose Renews automatically (monthly or yearly) or Ends on a date, then the price. Not sure what to offer? Open the example club for ideas, like The Stitch Club with its member savings, class prices and a welcome T-shirt and tote.

  2. Put the sign-up box on your website

Make the club's payment link once, then paste the club's sign-up box on a Join the Club page. When a customer pays, DOS marks them as a member within about a minute.

  3. Members get their price, and your counter knows who belongs

Give a class a member price and members get it by typing their email on your calendar. No codes. At the counter, look a customer up by name, email or phone to see "Member since…" or sign them up on the spot.

your-store.com
A class on the demo shop's website priced at $20, or $15 for members, with a box for a member's email and an I'm a Member, get my price button above Register.

Members type their email for their price. Everyone else registers as usual.

What it does

  • Clubs that renew every month or every year, or a club that ends on a date you pick
  • Payments go to your own Stripe account, and Sew Smart takes nothing
  • A sign-up box for your website
  • Marks new members by itself when they pay, and takes them off when they cancel or the club ends
  • Member prices on your classes, sharing the same seats as the regular price
  • "Am I a member?" at the counter — look anyone up in seconds
  • Add a member who paid cash, or give a free membership
  • An example club and a sample flyer to borrow ideas from
